The Virtual Directon Pad (DPAD) allows emulation of the DPAD/Trackball commonly found on Android devices.

Many recent Android devices do not have a trackball or physical directional pad (DPAD.)

To allow full virtual keyboard support in Better Terminal Emulator Pro, a Virtual DPAD allows the user to perform actions previously done with a DPAD/Trackball directly from the touch screen.

To enable the Virtual DPAD, tap the screen when the soft keyboard is raised. The cursor will change to a <tt»</tt>. This emulates the pressing of the trackpall or DPAD Center key (usually used to emulate the Control ket.) To emulate cursor movement, simple swipe the touchscreen. To enter control characters, type the desired character on the soft keyboard. Multiple taps on the screen will affect the Virtual DPAD as follows:
